BROOKE FRASER - Flags

$24.95Price
One of the country’s most loved songwriters and performers, Brooke Fraser returns with her third album ‘Flags’.

Featuring the lead single ‘Something In The Water’, ‘Flags’ was produced by Brooke (the first time she has self-produced) and recorded in Los Angeles. Working with a group of local US musicians, including guitarists Michael Chaves and David Levita (who played on Albertine), on ‘Flags’ Brooke has created an album that sets her powerful stories to exquisitely textured backdrops of acoustic and electric guitars, bass, drums, piano, strings, horns and wild percussion.

Brooke’s Fraser’s debut album ‘What To Do With Daylight’, released in New Zealand in 2003, debuted at No. 1 and achieved gold status the same week. It eventually went eight times platinum, selling more than 120,000 copies in New Zealand alone, and remained in the Top 10 on the album charts for more than a year. The album spawned five Top 20 singles and lead to 2004 tours of Australia and New Zealand with John Mayer and David Bowie.

Her second album ‘Albertine’ ,released in December 2006, also debuted at No. 1 and was certified five times platinum in New Zealand. After being featured on the US iTunes homepage as an “Editor’s Choice” selection, ‘Albertine’ also climbed to No. 5 on the digital retailer’s U.S. album chart and providing the impetus for several successful US tours.

Brooke returns from the States with her band for a series of very special shows at the end of October, hitting New Zealand’s main centers at the start of a tour that will take her right across the world before Christmas.
