GOTYE - Making Mirrors

GOTYE - Making Mirrors

A few years ago Gotye created an album that became something of an underground classic. That defining record, Like Drawing Blood, was voted Triple J listeners' favourite album of 2006, and iTunes UK's Album Of The Year. In 2007 Gotye also won the ARIA Award as Australia's Best Male Artist and the platinum-selling album recently polled at number 11 in Triple J's Hottest 100 Australian Albums Of All Time. Gotye's highly anticipated follow up - Making Mirrors - is being lead by the unforgettable song 'Somebody That I Used To Know (feat. Kimbra)'. Within weeks of its release, the song's gorgeous video has been embraced globally with 800,000 views online and it now stands at #1 on the Australian iTunes chart. Gotye's recently announced Australian album release tour is also doing exceedingly well, selling out in less than 30 minutes, with third shows now added to Brisbane and Melbourne, and a second show in Adelaide. In New Zealand, and the excitement for Gotye's August 22 release is also mounting. Gotye has interviews confirmed in the New Zealand Herald's TimeOut, Rip It Up, Groove Guide, NO Magazine, Radio NZ, Bfm and George FM - including a promotion the week of release via a free Dan Aux remix download of lead single 'Somebody That I Used To Know' and album of the week in early September. 'Somebody That I Used To Know' is currently number one on George FM, and has been put straight to a high rotate on Bfm. So far, it has also been picked up by Radio
