Ladi6’s third studio album, Automatic, was recorded between Studio A in Detroit, Michigan and Revolver Studios in Waiuku, NZ. Ladi6 and creative-partner-in-crime Parks travelled to the U.S to work with renowned music producer and one half of legendary Hip Hop and R&B duo Platinum Pied Pipers, Waajeed. Recording the album at the renowned Studio A recording studios in Detroit, with grammy winning engineer Todd Fairall (Common, Aretha Franklin, Jill Scott). Waajeed aka Jeedo needs little introduction to music fans, as his work over the years has spawned absolute classics, beginning with his first Platinum Pied Pipers album, Triple P. His work spans across many genres, from Soul, Hip Hop to Electronic, working with the likes of Cee-Lo Green, J-Dilla, Mad Mike and countless others. 

The first single from Automatic, 'Ikarus' (produced by Parks) was released in March 2013 and has been described as a beautiful amalgamation of soul and futuristic hip-hop complemented by Ladi6's hypnotic vocals. ‘Ikarus’ acts as a great indication to the beauty fans can expect from Ladi6’s upcoming third studio album, Automatic.
